Who is Tim Staermose, the Global Value Hunter?
I’m a full-time investor and investment writer.  I grew up all over the world, in Tanzania, Denmark, Egypt, Singapore and Australia – where I completed my higher education.  I have an unorthodox background.  And it shapes my approach to investing and life.

My readers appreciate this, and often comment that I bring them a valuable alternative perspective they can’t get anywhere else. Read more…

This is the reason @twigacement is my biggest personal investment holding, and a large core holding in my African Lions Fund -- https://t.co/fJyrisQXT2 EPS up 26.7% in 2020 on a 13% growth in revenue, and 6% growth in sales volume. Dividend hiked from 290 to 390 per share. 👍😀 https://t.co/fCWlEGroKU globalvaluehunt photo

@Swahilikidbooks US rates were mid-teens in 1982. So 39 years ago...

@Swahilikidbooks Market forces drive interest rates down. Interest rates are high in Africa because capital is in short supply and one can earn great returns. A business earning a 30% return on equity beats 15% in government bonds. We're talking decades. I say I'm investing where it's still 1983

@Swahilikidbooks Let's hope the same policies are NOT followed. Japan, Europe and the USA are in a world of trouble with massive debt, moribund, ageing economies and in zero interest rate purgatory creating MASSIVE distortions and misallocations of capital.
